Main subjects of interest – The Land of Israel in the junction of agriculture and nomadism; Central Asia and the Middle East during the Middle Ages; nomadic cultures, their motives and impacts; culture and classic poetry of China.
Main research topics – Mongolian history, in the 13-14 century AD; the foreign relations of the Mongol Ilkhanate in the Middle East; Mediaeval connections between Mongols and Jews. .
